Most of the courses we provide have relavance in health and social care; from health and safety to first aid and manual handling. However, our experience of working with national care providers has lead to the development of a number of courses to help providers meet their regulatory requirements.
CIEH Level 2 In Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
Duration: 1 day / 6 hours

Based on the first part of the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace – an introduction to health and safety adapted for health and social care – and the CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene, this qualification provides candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care sector.
Infection Control Certificate
Duration: Half day / 3.5 hours
Venue: On site or public course
This is a half day programme for all care professionals. This is essential and often overlooked training which covers personal hygiene, cross contamination, communicable infections and routes of infection.
Safer Handling of Medication
Duration: 1 days / 6 hours
Venue: On site or Public course
A one day course designed to give for all individuals working within social care the knowledge required to handle medication safety and effectively. The course meets the requirements of the Skills For Care Common Induction Standards for Medication Handling. This essential training is ideal as a refresher or core training or as part of any induction programme. A half-day Introduction to Medication Handling is also available.

Stroke Awareness Certificate
Duration: 3 hour short course
Venue: On site or public course
This is a short 3 hour course suitable for any person working in a health and social care environment. However, as stokes can affect over 150,000 people each year in the UK this course is relevant to all first aiders/responders and members of the general public.
Protection Of Vulnerable Adults (POVA)
Duration: 6 hours / 1 day
Venue: On site or public course
Designed to show the employee (Carer) the implications of abuse and what they should be aware of. This course will assist carer ‘s in understanding their obligations in a healthcare environment and procedure taken if abuse is found or suspected
Dementia Awareness
Duration: 1 day / 6 Hour
Venue: On site or public course
Dementia is a decline in mental function that may interfere with the ability to perform daily tasks. Dementia is a common condition, especially among older people. However, dementia should not be considered a normal part of aging.
This is a basic introductory course suitable for all carers who work with people with dementia.
Cognet Asbestos Awareness
Duration: Short course 4 hours
Venue: On site course
This is a short awarness course suitable for individuals involved in building maintenance, repair or refurbishment who may come in to contact with asbestos as part of their working practices.
