The ability to respond quickly and effectively to a medical emergency can sometimes be the difference between life and death. We provide a range of courses which will give the individual the confidence and ability to take charge should such an emergency happen until professional help arrives. From basic awareness and CPR refresher training to First Aid at Work qualifications and bespoke training, we can provide a training solution to meet your requirements either on-site or public course.
Emergency First Aid
Duration: 1 day / 6 hours
Venue: On site or public course
An appointed person is someone with basic first aid training, who can take charge of a medical emergency if one should occur. It is an ideal course for businesses that are considered to be low risk i.e. offices, or where there is the need of a skill mix and the appointed person can complement the qualified aider. This qualification is valid for 3 years, however updates are recommended every eighteen months to 2 years
First Aid At Work
Duration: 4 days
Venue: On site or Public course
Health and Safety Executive approved course. Essential for meeting your responsibilities under the Health and Safety (First Aid Regulations 1981). Course duration is 24 Hours and must be completed within 13 weeks. Usually delivered over 4 consecutive days or one day per week over four weeks. For up to 10 delegates per course.
First Aid At Work Re-Qualification
Duration: 2 days / 12 hours
Venue: On site or public course
Health and Safety Executive approved course for any qualified First Aider with a valid qualification who wishes to re-qualify. A 2 day course which can be delivered over 2 consecutive days or one day a week over 2 weeks. For up to 10 delegates per course.
Paediatric First Aid
Duration: 2 days / 12 hours
Venue: On site or public course
This two-day course has been designed for delegates who have the responsibility of looking after children e.g. nursery staff, child minders, and au pairs. The course syllabus looks not only at the traditional aspects of first aid but takes a look at childhood illnesses, and record keeping.It can be used to provide evidence for NVQ in childcare, and as well as certification formal evidence is given to students requiring it. This course is recognised by Ofsted.
Automated External Defibrillator & Basic Life Support
Duration: 4 hours
Venue: On site or public course
This is a 4 hour, highly interative course for any individual who is designated a "First Responder" in the event of a medical emergency. The course refreshes the delegates knowledge and practical skills of cardiopulmonary resucitation and introduces the Automatic External Difibrillator (AED) and it's appropriate use within current guidelines.
AED Trainer
Duration: 5 Hour

Anaphylaxis and EpiPen® Training
Duration: Short course / 2 - 3 hours
Venue: On site or public course
This is a short stand alone course that can also be a “bolted on” session to any of our other first aid courses. Designed for all child care professionals as well as parents and guardians, the course will enable the rescuer to be able to recognise a life threatening anaphylactic reaction and to be able to safely administer the appropriate auto injector. The course also covers what anaphylaxis is, what some of the common triggers are as well as risk assessment. The course is run in accordance within the guidelines laid down by the UK Resuscitation Council and the advice given by the HSE on the use of adrenaline by lay persons in a life threatening emergency.
