Welcome to Cognet Limited. We are a midlands-based training and consultancy company specialising in occupational and mandatory safety training; including first aid, health and safety, food hygiene, fire safety and  medication handling and administration.

Cognet provides high-quality, cost effective training and support to both private and public sector organisations. As well as establishing  a wide national customer base we are also preferred suppliers to councils in Worcestershire, Shropshire, West Midlands and London.

We are a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved training provider and are also a registered training centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC). Cognet are therefore able to deliver a wide range of nationally accredited courses alongside bespoke training programmes developed by working closely with our clients to ascertain their real training and continual professional development needs.

We provide on-site training throughout England and Wales for all of our courses and run a selection of public courses in Shropshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire and London.

As an accredited centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) Cognet can deliver a full range of accredited health & safety at work qualifications from Level 1 to Level 4. We can also deliver client-tailored courses in a wide variety of areas such as COSHH, Practical Risk Assessment, Lone Working, Working at heights and Manual Handling.

Food Safety Training Courses

Well trained staff are vital to any business and we aim to provide both practical food safety advice, as well as meet your legal responsibilities in regard to food Safety training. As an accredited centre for the CIEH and HABC we can deliver a full range of courses from Level 1 to Level 4 meeting the needs of occasional food handlers, catering staff, supervisors, managers and business owners alike.

Fire Safety Training Courses

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 has made fire safety training a legal requirement. We provide on-site training in practical fire safety awareness, fire marshals/fire wardens, fire risk assessment fire safety in residential care and management responsibilities.

Health and Social Care Training Courses

As Cognet has grown we have gained expertise in delivering courses for the health and social care sector. We are able to tailor generic courses such as first aid, food safety and fire safety to meet the specific needs of residential care and have worked with a number of local governments to develop bespoke courses in Safer Handling of Medication, Infection control and anaphylaxis awareness

First aid at work training does not include the administration of any medications, and while allergy sufferers and their parents or guardians receive advice and training in the use of auto-injectors (Epi-pen, Anapen), care workers, child carers and first aiders rarely do.  As the social care sector continues to expand, and with the growth in the child care industry also continuing, many first aiders feel that they need additional training to meet the needs of their clients.

To assist trainiers and those who aspire to become trainers Cognet providse formal training qualifications (PTLLS) and also a range of instructor courses to increase your training portfolio. We provide excellent training resourses and an on-going support service for any technical issues or delivery advice.
