This course is designed for those who are delivering first aid qualifications and want to add further subject areas to their training portfolio. It is based on the AED operators course but gives the learners a deeper understanding of how AEDs work, anatomy and physiology of the hear particularly to the electrical system, the AED market just what’s out there, legislation, basic life support update, and the importance of the chain of survival. We will also ensure that you have a clear understanding of the UK Resuscitation Councils best practice guidelines in relation to the use and purchase of AED units.
We use a variety of AED trainer units (Zoll AED plus Cardiac Science G3 and Philips Heart start), as well as a variety of course books throughout the course. We can also offer a trainer unit hire service for you should you wish not to purchase trainer units straight away.
Emphasis will be placed on how to assess your learner’s competence in relation to the AED unit with particular reference to unit safety on courses.
All learners are given course books "CPR & AED first aid Made Easy" and all course materials on a CD ROM for future use, we will offer post course support and a course certification should you have the need.
